On February 23, Infiniti, priced its highly anticipated 2012 M35h hybrid at $53,700, not including any applicable destination charges. With an estimated fuel-economy rating of 27 mpg-city/32 mpg-highway, the V-6 -equipped luxury hybrid sedan it really is in a league of its own.

The closest competitor to the Infiniti M35h hybrid is the Lexus GS 450h. And, even that's a stretch. For compared to the GS 450h, the Infiniti M35h boasts immediate savings of over $4,000, and superior gas mileage. . . which equates to even greater long-term savings.

Infiniti M35h's smaller, even more distant competitor is the LINCOLN MKZ Hybrid. The MKZ Hybrid offer slightly higher fuel efficiency and has a more approachable price tag than the new Infiniti hybrid - but not without sacrificing a significant amount of power.

Even in hybrid form, Infiniti delivers superior power, giving dedicated drivers complete freedom in the fast lane. To be exact, the Infiniti M35h hybrid has a 302-horsepower (hp), 3.5-liter V6 engine mated with a 50-kW electric motor for a net output of 360 hp.
