The INFINITI QX80 luxury SUV comes equipped with several advanced safety features, including Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Lane Departure Prevention (LDP).

LDW is a system that alerts the driver when the vehicle starts to drift out of its lane without the use of a turn signal. This feature uses a camera mounted on the windshield to monitor lane markings on the road and provides a visual and/or audible warning to the driver to take corrective action. LDW is designed to prevent accidents caused by driver inattention or fatigue, as well as to reduce the risk of head-on collisions and sideswipes.

LDP takes the LDW system a step further by actively helping the driver to stay within the lane. When the vehicle drifts too close to the edge of the lane, LDP applies subtle steering input to keep the vehicle centered in its lane. If the driver continues to drift, LDP will apply more steering input and provide an audible warning to alert the driver to take control of the vehicle.

Both LDW and LDP are designed to provide an extra layer of safety on the road and are especially useful during long drives or in heavy traffic conditions. However, they are not a substitute for attentive driving, and drivers should always remain alert and aware of their surroundings.
